First Day In Greece

Yesterday we boarded our flight from Little Rock to Atlanta. While receiving heart-felt farewells from ou rparents and other loved ones, we set out on a journey of a lifetime. At first, we believed that we would not have enough time to make our connection flight, but we were able to catch an earlier flight to Atlanta. This gave us plenty of time for some relaxation before the twelve and a half hour flight. When we arrived in Atlanta, we met our fellow students who would be accompanying us on this adventure. We spent our free time by walking around the airport and hanging out. The monster flight was full of movies, going to sleep, waking up, falling back to sleep, and eventually waking back up again. To me it seemed it would never end. This morning we woke up and had breakfast on the plane. Eventually, we landed in Athens. Just from seeing a birds-eye-view, I could tell it was a magnificent city. We then met our guide and Discovery's Anson Lee. We converted what money we wanted to, and then we headed to the tour bus. Just from a brief tour, I have already learned a lot of interesting facts about Athens and Greek culture as well. I can't wait for what is yet to come.
