Counting Down...

In one month we will be on our way to Greece and Italy! As we travel together, I look forward to learning about a new culture and its people. This past Saturday on the Travel Channel show Bizarre Foods, Andrew Zimmern visited Palermo in eastern Sicily on the slopes of Mt. Etna. While there he learned to make chocolate rabbit -- fricasseed rabbit simmered in chocolate. The rabbit is cooked with the head attached and the luckiest guest is the one who gets the head! It was hard for me to watch, but I promise I will eat chocolate rabbit if I get the chance! Here's the recipe for those who want to try it before we leave. http://www.bigoven.com/recipe/128926/sicillian-rabbit-with-chocolate

  1. Karen, this is one of those activities where I will have to say I may not try it before the students. I will see what I can do about putting chocolate rabbit on the menu. Have a great trip. ~Chris
